ROMULANS
Romulans
are a warrior race from the planets Romulus and Remus, which are situated
in the Beta Quadrant. The Romulan Empire was founded about 2,000
years ago by a group of dissident Vulcans who did not adhere to Surak's
teachings of logic and reason. They are a very passionate race with
powerful emotions. Although most Romulans reject Vulcan teachings,
many keep small artifacts which show the syllabic nucleus of the Vulcan
language, in the hope that the two people will be once again reunited.
After the 4 year nuclear war between the Romulans and Earth, an peace treaty
is signed creating the nuetral zone. If either of the races enter
the nuetral zone is classed as an act of war. After creating a cloacking
device, in 2266 the Romulans test out Earth by sending a ship through the
nuetral zone and attacking outposts. This ship was destroyed by USS
Enterprise NCC-1701. There has been a few alliances between the Romulans
and the Federation, and the Romulans and the Klingons, but at this time
relations are not at thier best.
